Kanye West apologizes for George Floyd comments, saying Adidas’s ordeal humbled him.

After claiming that George Floyd’s death was the result of fentanyl rather than police brutality in Minneapolis, Kanye West has apologized to Floyd’s family.

As reported by Consequence, West apologized for the remarks while mobbed by paparazzi on Friday (October 28).

West expressed his discomfort, saying, ““When I see that video as a Black person, it hurts my feelings, and I know that police do attack [sic] and that America is generally racist. And I understand that when we got to say Black Lives Matter, the idea of it made us feel good together as a people. Now, afterwards there was some things where the money went in order to push us to the Democratic vote.”

Finally, West admitted that he feels bad about creating conspiracy theories surrounding Floyd’s murder because adidas severed their commercial ties with him.

Accordingly, “So when I questioned the death of George Floyd, it hurt my people,” he continued. “I want to apologize. Because God has showed me by what adidas is doing, by what the media is doing, I know what it feels to have a knee on my neck right now.

“So thank you God for humbling me and letting me know how it really felt. Because how could the richest Black men ever be humbled other than to be made to not be a billionaire in front of everyone off a comment.”

They sued him for $250 million on behalf of his daughter, who is the sole heir to Floyd’s fortune, after he made some contentious comments.

The rapper also doubled down on his anti-Semitic language during Friday’s impromptu news conference, adding, “the amount of Jews killed in Nazi Germany paled in compared to the number of Black people killed by abortion.”

His recent anti-Semitic comments have apparently cost him his coveted billionaire status, and as a result, several companies have severed connections with West. Among them is Adidas.

After a week of criticism, West returned to social media and released a text message from his lawyer, Quinn Emanuel, in which he was informed of his legal options with respect to adidas and Gap, from whom he had parted ways in September.

As for Adidas, the message said, “You may now begin creating new designs for footwear, clothes, and accessories.” The end date of your non-compete with Gap is December15, 2022. The Yeezy brand and its associated trademarks are your own.

Forbes estimates that his fortune has dropped from $1.9 billion to $400 million.

ISTHATPORKS TAKE:

At "ISTHATPORK" we are fans of people knowing when they did something wrong and filling their own voids. We're not one for deflection, pointing the finger elsewhere, def ears, or creating a twilight zone atmosphere that affects people, places, and things when you're the culprit and "ATOM" of the problem. So, it's refreshing that Kanye' understood his faults with this one. Not to add to any PORK in that situation, but we hope it is sincere and not because he is being sued for 250 million dollars by the family of George Floyd. This whole situation can use it from the knee on the neck of George Floyd by "Derek Michael Chauvin" to this. The whole situation could use some void filling, not more blackholes, from the PORK of Mr. Chauvin. Time will tell if Kany'es apology is sincere by his next comments and moves. As for anyone else he's accused of offending, we'd like to hear his original gripe before he lashed out to make the correct assessment of how that should be appraised. When people are not heard with their experience of anything in life that makes or made them uncomfortable, they 1st try to speak out for understanding, etc, then they take it to the next level if not heard. It's almost like a warning before the person speaks louder and louder until their heard. That's how it is with anyone and that's how we see that situation. To take this further, look at it this way. No group, image, vale, or reason should allow a person not to express themselves. So, we'd like to hear what his original gripe was before any of the anti-stuff became a platinum song. The question we have for him is simple, What's the issue/What's the situation?, Whose the person or people involved? once we find that out we can make up our own minds about whether something is right or wrong. But to silence someone without giving them the opportunity to express themselves seems to us that, there's a lot of PORK in that in reverse. It's almost as if DEF ears is saying, "I'll answer you when you say something derogatory because I know you're going to be pissed because I haven't responded to you. So, I don't have to address your original gripe". We're obviously thinking out loud but "that's what it looks like to us". So, we'd like to know exactly what the hell his ORIGINAL issue was all about to begin with. Then there should be no need for anyone to use the "Anti-Anything Claus" to deflect from the original issue if thats what the intention was.😏

Will Smith claims that Floyd Mayweather checked in with him daily for ten days after he smacked Chris Rock at the Oscars to see how he was doing.

During a private showing of his new film “Emancipation” at The London hotel, Smith revealed… , and he seized the opportunity to thank TBE for being there for him in the presence of Floyd, even if at the time they weren’t exactly great friends.

On camera, Smith remarked, “I want to say something also about Floyd.” The footage was later shared on TMZ Sports. “So, we’ve met each other, we’ve seen each other around, but we weren’t like, friends.”

“And, the day after the Oscars, for 10 days he called me every day, And, he was like, ‘Ay, you know you the champ, right? You good? You know you the champ, right? I want you to hear my voice say it,'”

“That was every day he called me … and it’s like, that’s my dude forever right there.”

In light of Smith’s reluctance to discuss the slapping event since his only public statement on the matter came in the form of an apologetic video in July, hearing him describe the days immediately following the incident is very rare.

Mayweather, for his part, thought the movie was great.

A pivotal moment in history is beautifully depicted in “Emancipation. Floyd says, “I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.”

“Watching Emancipation film last night — the picture was nothing short of wonderful! The film hit so many elements of me as a black guy in America… Will Smith is outstanding!! Every frame was Art!!!!!,” Deon exclaims.

“WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. NO, WE’RE NOT”: LIZZO BELIEVES BLACK WOMEN HAVE BEEN DEHUMANIZED IN AMERICA

With her cover story in the November issue of Vanity Fair, the singer from Detroit is highlighting her dedication to using her position to alter the course of history. In the course of the interview, the celebrity discussed a wide variety of issues, from the personal to the political, but her comments on the treatment of Black women garnered the most attention.

“THE FAÇADE THAT ‘AMERICA, WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.’ NO, WE’RE NOT. BLACK PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DEHUMANIZED SO MUCH—ESPECIALLY BLACK WOMEN.”

Lizzo noted in the interview, “I’d like to be an optimist, but I’m a chronically disappointed optimist.”

“The way Black women have been treated in this country has made me feel very hopeless. I don’t think there was a time when [we] were treated fairly and with respect. If I see hope in this country, it will come from the accountability of the people who have the privilege. As a fat Black woman, this country has never gone forward; it’s stayed pretty much the same for me,” she continued.

The singer of “Good as Hell” opened up about her experience as a Black woman in show business. She pointed out that racism contributes to the hypersexualized but masculine images of Black women that society promotes.

“When it’s sexual, it’s mine,” she said.

“WHEN IT’S SEXUALIZED, SOMEONE IS DOING IT TO ME OR TAKING IT FROM ME. BLACK WOMEN ARE HYPER-SEXUALIZED ALL THE TIME, AND MASCULINIZED SIMULTANEOUSLY.”

”Because of the structure of racism, if you’re thinner and lighter, or your features are narrow, you’re closer to being a woman.”

The singer told Yahoo Entertainment that she had lost all faith in the future of the Black female population in the United States. She has stated that she writes empowering songs for women who look like her since she believes that Black women are the most overlooked and marginalized demographic in the country. Singer also said she had a childhood of feeling “unappreciated” and “unbeautiful.”

“It’s about power and control. It’s about white male supremacy; it’s always been about white male supremacy in this country and the people who are complicit in helping uphold it—who are a lot of white women. The women who voted for Donald Trump,” she added.
