This will be Mary J. Blige’s first solo tour in five years when she launches her Good Morning Gorgeous Tour on September 15.
The Good Morning Gorgeous Tour kicks off on September 17 in Greensboro, North Carolina, and is sponsored by Hologic and powered by the Black Promoters Collective.
Several other cities, including Chicago, New Orleans, and Cincinnati, are also on the itinerary for the remainder of the tour. Atlantic City, New Jersey, will be the final stop of the tour on Oct. 29.
Queen Naija and Ella Mai will accompany the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul on her tour. During the weekend of Mother’s Day, both women appeared as special guests at Mary J. Blige’s first-ever Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit.
Naija will tour in support of her upcoming debut album Missunderstood, which is scheduled for release in 2020 and features the single “Hate Our Love,” featuring Big Sean.
She plans to promote her second album, Heart On My Sleeve, on her tour. On the heels of two tracks off the album, including the gold-certified “Not Another Love Song” and “Sink or Swim,” Mary J. Blige gave the Grammy winner some advice.
Purchases for Mary J. Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous Tour will be available starting on Friday, June 17 at 10 o’clock in the local time. Pre-orders are also taking place. More information can be found by clicking on the link provided.
When Mary J. Blige’s album Strength of a Woman was released in 2017, she last led a tour. As part of The Royalty Tour with Nas in 2019, she sang the song “Thriving” as a duet.
R&B singer Ne-new Yo’s tour dates follow the release of her 14th album Good Morning Gorgeous in February ahead of her Super Bowl performance. The album includes her most recent hit, “Here With Me,” which features Anderson.Paak.
Six more songs and guest performances from H.E.R., Remy Ma, Moneybagg Yo, Ne-Yo, and Fabolous were included in a deluxe edition of Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous, which was released in May. This version of the song features Usher, Fivio Foreign, DJ Khaled and Dave East.
Blige has accepted a few honors this year. At the Billboard Music Awards, she was presented with the Icon Award. A week later, at the 2022 Clio Music Awards, she received the Legend Award. She was also included in TIME’s 100 Most Influential People list for the year 2022.
The BET Awards are scheduled for 2022. A total of three nominations were made for Blige, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, BET Her Award (“Good Morning Gorgeous”), and Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama (Power Book II: Ghost)
