Actress Leah Remini would like to bring to your attention that the fact that “Top Gun: Maverick” replaces shirtless volleyball with shirtless football is not the only reason you should be skeptical of the film.

Remini, who has been on a crusade against Scientology ever since she left the religion in 2013, issued a tweet on Saturday in which she cautioned moviegoers against being overly seduced by the box office smash and its charismatic star, Tom Cruise.

While Leah Remini, who was brought up a Scientologist but is now known for being one of the group’s most vocal critics thanks to a book and a documentary series on the subject, Tom Cruise is arguably the most well-known member of the organization.

Over the past weekend, Remini published a piece in which she advised readers,
“Don’t let the movie star charm fool you,”

“Don’t let the movie star charm fool you,”

She also praised her friend Claire Headley for accusing Cruise of “crimes against humanity.”

“Glad all you Top Gun fans are enjoying the new movie,” Claire Headley wrote in a Facebook post that Remini shared a screenshot of. “Personally, recent posts about this movie only serve to remind me of Tom Cruise and his crimes against humanity.”

She then went on to say, “Extreme, you may think? Destroying families is a crime against humanity. My opinion. Ask yourself: When is the last time Tom talked to his only biological daughter, Suri?”

She then went on to say -So no, I will not watch the movie, nor will I ever support or approve of this scam of a man,” she wrote, adding: “Trust me, Tom Cruise knows exactly who he is supporting and the abuses the organization perpetuates.”

ISTHATPORKS TAKE:

Leah Remini believes there is pork in the World of Scientology. Do we believe it? it would be pork for us to shed any light or comment correctly because we don't know enough about it. However, we can say that Leah is not the only person who came and went, started but didn't finish, or criticized the organization from afar. On the other hand, some in the organization have a level of success and don't appear to be hurting people emotionally or physically as some cults do. We can be wrong, but that's how it seems. The people in the organization would have the best know how it's run so Leah may be on to something. Time will tell.
