French Montana’s “First New York Rapper to Go Diamond” Statement Is Debunked and sent back to “Pork Island” …

Although French Montana has accomplished much in his career, there is one honor he has attained that many others strive to obtain. French is now making a claim about the massive success of his 2017 hit “Unforgettable,” which featured Swae Lee. French received a diamond plaque for selling 10 million sales of the song.

During a recent episode of the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo, French brazenly claimed to be the first New York-based rapper to earn a diamond certification. The Bronx rapper’s unexpected statements shocked the podcast’s hosts because New York City is home to a long list of successful musicians.

Upon hearing French Montana claim, “I’m the first male artist from the mecca of Hip Hop to go diamond, you know what I’m saying,” French Montana said before Gillie and Wallo were taken aback and asked him to say it again. “I’m the first male artist from the Mecca, The Bronx, and the first born African artist to ever go diamond.”

Gillie inquired as to whether JAY-Z had ever had a diamond certification, to which French replied in the negative. French did not specify if he was referring to individual songs or entire albums that had achieved diamond status. Supporters were quick to criticize him online for his remarks.

“Did French Montana just say he’s the first rapper to go diamond from the mecca of HipHop???? Did I hear that correctly LMAOO,” one person tweeted while another wrote on Instagram, “Biggie life after certified diamond come on French U know frank white numbers u was on bad boy.”

Another voice chimed in, “Yeah that’s awesome and all BUT,back then you had to sell CDs and not so much streaming.

That was a totally different ballgame before the advent of streaming.

ISTHATPORKS TAKE:

Our Pork Detector smells a little pork here. We see French Montana needs an education on Hip Hop history. We're glad French thinks highly of himself though. Maybe he can come up with an album that'll go two times Diamond. Good Luck French and get that education. Certainly, no Pork in knowing what you talk about but there's pork in not having a clue, especially when you're in the same genre.

The District Attorney’s Office for Fulton County announced additional allegations against Young Thug in an indictment on August 9.

The Atlanta rapper has been charged with machine gun possession, firearm possession during the commission of a felony, and more gang counts.

Both the March 17 arrest and the May 9 raid on Thug’s Buckhead house led to the new charges. During the course of the RICO indictment, law enforcement officials raided Thug’s home and found evidence of seven other offences.

The day of Thug’s arrest, Atlanta police and the District Attorney’s office discovered evidence that led to the addition of several extra counts against Thug and two other defendants.

The new indictment, according to Fulton County DA Fani Willis, contains 28 individuals from the original indictment from May, which targeted the group “Young Slime Life.”

There are more than two dozen YSL members, including Thug and Gunna, who have been in jail for the past three months on felony charges, including violations of the RICO Act, that could land them in prison for decades if they are found guilty.

The trial for Thug and Gunna has been set to commence in January 2023, and bond has been rejected.

On the morning of August 8th, Fetty Wap was arrested for violating the conditions of his bail by making a threat while holding a pistol during a FaceTime call.

A video tape of the December 11, 2021 FaceTime call was submitted to the authorities, as stated in court filings. He told the person on the other end of the line,.“I’ma kill you and everybody you with.”

Fetty Wap’s claimed involvement in the possession and conspiracy to distribute controlled narcotics, as well as the threat and firearm, put him in violation of the terms of his release on November 5, 2021.

That he “shall not possess a firearm, destructive device, or other weapon” was one of the conditions of his release order. Additionally, he was required to “not break any federal, state, or municipal law.”

On October 28, 2021, Fetty Wap was arrested for his alleged involvement in a drug distribution scheme. He has since entered a not guilty plea. The next day he was arraigned on accusations of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled narcotics, which he had been indicted for the day before.
