L.A. 7-Elevens are encouraged to close after Slurpee Day becomes deadly.
ISTHATPORKS TAKE:
Can't blame 7 eleven for taking the bull by the horns, getting ahead of the obvious, and protecting their brand. 7 eleven proves that sometimes you have to take a back step before moving forward again. Reminds us of Starbucks a few years ago when some customers were arrested for sitting down at the store. They were customers. THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ARRESTED FOR WHAT AN EMPLOYEE THOUGHT THEY WERE DOING. So what did the CEO of Starbucks do? he closed every Starbucks store across the country and made all of his employees take a course on customer service and race relations to save face. Smart move. He took a loss to have a better gain. We know the situations are different but the common denominator seems to be the same. "Backstep, forward". NO PORK IN THAT! for the PORK that was present.
