Cam’ron regrets deleting JAY-verse Z’s from ‘Oh Boy’ remix: ‘I’M PETTY’

Cam’ron has explained why he removed JAY-line Z’s from the remix of his 2003 smash song “Oh Boy,” and it appears that petty differences prevented the song from being released.

The leader of the Dipset confirmed to the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast that Hov did, in fact, record a verse, but that he didn’t utilize it because Cam was upset by Jay erasing one of his verses.

After hearing Cam say, “Listen, so Hov did a remix for ‘Oh Boy,’ and I erased it,” Cam said, which caused Wallo to ask why not keep that version in the vault instead of deleting it altogether. “Looking back on it I should’ve, ’cause shit, I could’ve got some money. He erased my verse. I did a song for Peedi Crakk, and he erased my verse and threw it out, so I was like I’ma erase his verse.”

Gillie made a reference to Cam’ron’s “Dinner Time” diss record directed at his friend Ma$e by bringing up their recent phone conversation, in which Ma$e was referred to as “Mr. Petty” by Cam. Killa responded with a giggle and accepted the moniker.

“I’m very, very petty man, but looking back on that, you made a great point. We should’ve kept it, and whether we used it or not, we should’ve had it, but that’s….” Cam’Ron said before pointing to himself.

‘I don’t want to hear it again,’ he continued. We ain’t gone find it nowhere. Erase it, that was just my mentality at the time.”

Damon Dash, who founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay-Z, brought Cam’ron to the label in 2001. When he was signed to Roc-A-Fella, he put out the critically praised albums Come Home with Me and Purple Haze and introduced his Harlem group, The Diplomats (Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Freekey Zekey.)

Eventually, the friction between the Dipset leader and JAY-Z would escalate into a full-blown rap war, prompting the Dipset leader to leave Roc-A-Fella in 2005. Their dispute lasted until 2019, when they performed together at JAY-B-Sides Z’s NYC performance at Webster Hall.

At another point in his talk with Gillie and Wallo, Cam explained how Dame Dash had helped him put an end to his fight with Jay. Killa claims that he understood the true state of affairs after witnessing Dame apologize for his part in the rapper’s quarrel with Jay.

To be completely forthright with you, “I was caught in the middle, to be totally honest with you, because I didn’t want Dame [Dash] to feel a way,” he explained. “I know they was going through they thing, but Dame had did something on the internet to where he kind of apologized to JAY-Z. … I was like, ‘If that’s where he at, cool.’”

Cam went on, saying, “Jay called, he’s like, ‘Yo first of all I want to tell you I got respect for you,’ and I’m like,  Same here bro, shit ain’t no big thing, man.’ We talking about some shit, fucking 12-13 years old. I’m straight. … We just showed our love for each other, and we kept it under wraps.”

ISTHATPORKS TAKE:

This situation reminds us that it's important for us to mind our business when the business is none of ours. We understand wanting to hold your people down by any means, but the adult thing to do is mind your business because if they ever do get back together or in good graces with themselves, where does that leave the person who thought he was doing a good thing for his mans n them? Jay Z didn't have to be open arms to Camron under the circumstances. Shout out to Jay for not keeping the PORK alive in that situation. Big shoutout to all of them for finding peace in a PORK situation that's as DUMB as they were young. We know Dame and Jay are a little seesawy but hey, there are always better days ahead for the peaceful mind. "FOOD YEARS UP TO ALL!"

T.I. and Tiny’s son, King Harris, was detained on August 31. This prompted the 18-year-old to post a series of videos in which he responded to allegations that he was trying to pass himself off as a gangster.

The videos sparked an immediate outcry, with many people demanding that Tip do a better job of parenting his son so that he wouldn’t have to squander his future for internet fame.

As was previously reported, it was unclear what led to the arrest of the teen.

The Atlanta rap star eventually responded with an Instagram post, warning his critics that their admonitions were ignored.

“Got a small request,” T.I. said. “Stop hitting me and getting in my comments, telling me what to tell King, okay? I know my son. Think I ain’t spoke to my son? Think I ain’t told my son, his mama, and his grandmama?” he began.

“His a– going to prison if he godd— keeps up. His a– going to prison. Ain’t no way around it. Ain’t nothing I’m going to be able to do it about it. Can’t nobody stop it but him. I’ve already had the conversation, I’ve already made my peace with it. ‘Cause I know that energy — I was that energy. I know exactly how it’s gonna turn out.”

Next, he said, “King’s a good kid. He’s chasing after the wrong s— and I trust in God to deal with it the way he see fit… Now, he going have to go through it and get through it… Life is gonna teach him all the lessons he need to know.” King had previously addressed the arrest in a video, saying that he had not sought out police intervention. The young man, then 18, began attacking those who had called him out, and he questioned why the blogs that had reported on his arrest had ignored his most recent music release as Kid Saiyan. Another viral video included a young woman proudly displaying her seatbelt violations while King can be heard stating, “got four.”

Meek Mill’s exit from Roc Nation has been addressed for the first time by Jay-Z. Hov appeared on DJ Khaled’s GOD DID and contributed a verse to the song of the same name. Jay-Z has more than four minutes to say his views on the eight-minute track, which also features Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and John Legend. He starts off by mentioning that he thinks LeBron James should join the ranks of Hip-few Hop’s millionaires.

“Hov did, please, Lord forgive me for what the stove did/ Nobody touched the billi’ until Hov did,” Jay-Z confidently rhymes. “How many billionaires can come from Hov crib? Huh/I count three, me, Ye and Rih/Bron’s a Roc boy, so four, technically.”

“Me and Meek could never beef. I freed that ni**a from a whole bid, Hov did,” the rapper boasts during his 4-minute verse.

Timed to coincide with Meek Mill’s exit from Roc Nation after a decade together is this new verse. Taking to social media on July 11 to set the record straight, Meek stated that his exit was amicable.

“All I seen today was meek and roc part ways. I’m personally handling my own business, so I can take risk and grow,” Mill clarified in his first of a series of tweets. “We came to that agreement together. I have a label deal with Roc for my artist, and I got reform super tied with them and many other investments wit Jigga.”

Drake, new hairdo? social media pokes fun

Never Pork

Drake’s new style is entertaining social media.

The artist’s new hairstyle on Instagram caused a stir.

People see through the jokes to the truth Drake has been proclaiming about himself for years: he won’t change who he is or try to be anyone else.

Paraphrasing a fan “I’ll never forget that Aubrey Graham is an actor whose biggest part to far has been Drake, as @KevCole6 put it on Twitter. With this, his musical legacy is secure. When the dust settles, he will undoubtedly go down as one of the most iconic figures in hip-hop history”. The man behind the music, however, is, hmm, unconventional.
