No Pork In That! McConaughey delivers an impassioned plea for gun regulation at the White House…

Washington, DC — Actor Matthew McConaughey made an emotional plea for stronger gun control measures at a White House briefing room appearance on Tuesday, eliciting both pain and optimism.

McConaughey, a native of Uvalde, Texas, paid tribute to the 19 youngsters murdered there earlier this month.

McConaughey, a native of Uvalde, Texas, paid tribute to the 19 youngsters murdered there earlier this month. “How,can we make the loss of these lives matter?”

Many Democrats, as well as a few Republicans, support the same kinds of reforms advocated by the Oscar-winning actor. It was remarkable to see such a display of true emotion in Washington, where emotions are normally carefully controlled. The briefing was broadcast live on cable news networks for the first time during the Biden administration.

A new American community has been added to the expanding list of American towns and cities that have been torn apart by gun violence, as he recalled his visit to his bereaved homeland. ‘You could sense the loss of lives and dreams,’ he claimed. ‘You could feel the denial and rage and blame and despair.’

He met a cosmetologist who had worked on the bodies of the killed children among the persons he encountered. “They needed a lot of work. Why? Because of the AR-15’s big exit wounds,” McConaughey stated. A high-powered gun was used by both the Buffalo shooter and the Newtown shooter, who killed 20 children and six adults at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. earlier this month.

After a mass massacre, politicians are quick to express their sadness and sympathies. McConaughey is rarely used to make a message on their behalf by these organizations. According to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, he briefly met with Vice President Biden before to the briefing.

Before McConaughey, his wife brought up a pair of green sneakers once worn by Maite Rodriguez, a 10-year-old victim.

It was her green Converse sneakers that served as the sole piece of physical evidence used to positively identify her following the shooting, he explained, his voice quivering with passion.

McConaughey also presented a drawing by Alithia Ramirez, another of Salvador Ramos’ victims who walked into Robb Elementary School with no apparent hindrance. Law enforcement has been slammed for taking an hour to enter the building after receiving complaints.

While McConaughey was in town this week, he met with legislators to discuss stronger gun control laws. Senate negotiations appear encouraging, but Republican opposition to even the modest improvements being suggested might unravel them.

In an allusion to the influence of the gun lobby, Matthew McConaughey said, “We can’t truly be leaders if we are only living for reelection.” Rep. Chris Jacobs, a Republican from upstate New York, announced last week that he will not seek re-election after he was criticized for his support of stricter gun control laws.

According to White House spokesman Josh Earnest, McConaughey was raised in Uvalde, Texas, where he was exposed to firearms. According to surveys, the clear majority of Americans believe that the recent relaxation of gun control legislation has gone too far.

Americans are fed up with the Second Amendment being hijacked, McConaughey added. President Biden has voiced confidence about the new negotiations between Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Connecticut, and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), as the White House has in recent days.

Gun restriction alone would not solve the epidemic of gun violence, he said, appearing to be a concession to Republicans. It’s time to invest in mental health treatment. McConaughey argues that “safer schools” are a must. Our media coverage needs to be more restrained.” It’s time for us to reclaim our family’s traditions. As a nation, we must rediscover the core ideals that define us as Americans. In addition, we need responsible gun ownership.

To begin their day, the McConaugheys ascended Capitol Hill, where they were greeted by Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, as well as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

He wouldn’t say what he said to Cornyn during their 30-minute talk on Tuesday when asked.

His response was, “That’s going to be between me and him.”

ISTHATPORKS TAKE:

You can never fault a man for injecting himself into something in a positive way. The end result always “affects” us in a positive way”. Glad Matthew, like a few others on the higher part of the food chain is doing their part. Yes, Matthew, we see and acknowledge you and we know you know the responsibility is in us, not the man on the moon, political crap, or stonewalling talking points like everything is pancakes. We can change this, and save lives just like we can do anything else. Maybe more def ears will get the message and stop playing around with life and acting a fool to create fools. Food Years Up Matthew!

Kanye West apologizes for George Floyd comments, saying Adidas’s ordeal humbled him.

After claiming that George Floyd’s death was the result of fentanyl rather than police brutality in Minneapolis, Kanye West has apologized to Floyd’s family.

As reported by Consequence, West apologized for the remarks while mobbed by paparazzi on Friday (October 28).

West expressed his discomfort, saying, ““When I see that video as a Black person, it hurts my feelings, and I know that police do attack [sic] and that America is generally racist. And I understand that when we got to say Black Lives Matter, the idea of it made us feel good together as a people. Now, afterwards there was some things where the money went in order to push us to the Democratic vote.”

Finally, West admitted that he feels bad about creating conspiracy theories surrounding Floyd’s murder because adidas severed their commercial ties with him.

Accordingly, “So when I questioned the death of George Floyd, it hurt my people,” he continued. “I want to apologize. Because God has showed me by what adidas is doing, by what the media is doing, I know what it feels to have a knee on my neck right now.

“So thank you God for humbling me and letting me know how it really felt. Because how could the richest Black men ever be humbled other than to be made to not be a billionaire in front of everyone off a comment.”

They sued him for $250 million on behalf of his daughter, who is the sole heir to Floyd’s fortune, after he made some contentious comments.

The rapper also doubled down on his anti-Semitic language during Friday’s impromptu news conference, adding, “the amount of Jews killed in Nazi Germany paled in compared to the number of Black people killed by abortion.”

His recent anti-Semitic comments have apparently cost him his coveted billionaire status, and as a result, several companies have severed connections with West. Among them is Adidas.

After a week of criticism, West returned to social media and released a text message from his lawyer, Quinn Emanuel, in which he was informed of his legal options with respect to adidas and Gap, from whom he had parted ways in September.

As for Adidas, the message said, “You may now begin creating new designs for footwear, clothes, and accessories.” The end date of your non-compete with Gap is December15, 2022. The Yeezy brand and its associated trademarks are your own.

Forbes estimates that his fortune has dropped from $1.9 billion to $400 million.

Will Smith claims that Floyd Mayweather checked in with him daily for ten days after he smacked Chris Rock at the Oscars to see how he was doing.

During a private showing of his new film “Emancipation” at The London hotel, Smith revealed… , and he seized the opportunity to thank TBE for being there for him in the presence of Floyd, even if at the time they weren’t exactly great friends.

On camera, Smith remarked, “I want to say something also about Floyd.” The footage was later shared on TMZ Sports. “So, we’ve met each other, we’ve seen each other around, but we weren’t like, friends.”

“And, the day after the Oscars, for 10 days he called me every day, And, he was like, ‘Ay, you know you the champ, right? You good? You know you the champ, right? I want you to hear my voice say it,'”

“That was every day he called me … and it’s like, that’s my dude forever right there.”

In light of Smith’s reluctance to discuss the slapping event since his only public statement on the matter came in the form of an apologetic video in July, hearing him describe the days immediately following the incident is very rare.

Mayweather, for his part, thought the movie was great.

A pivotal moment in history is beautifully depicted in “Emancipation. Floyd says, “I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.”

“Watching Emancipation film last night — the picture was nothing short of wonderful! The film hit so many elements of me as a black guy in America… Will Smith is outstanding!! Every frame was Art!!!!!,” Deon exclaims.
