Ricky Martin faces 50 years for incest and domestic assault of nephew, per alleged report.

El Universal, a daily published in Mexico, claims that recent allegations of domestic violence have been made against Martin. On Wednesday, the newspaper published an article stating that Martin’s own nephew was the person who accused Martin of engaging in domestic violence.

El Universal has come up with these fresh discoveries not long after it was brought to public attention that a restraining order had been lodged against Martin. According to the publication El Vocero from Puerto Rico, the individual who filed the restraining order against Martin was someone who had dated Martin for a number of months.

According to El Vocero’s reporting, the restraining order also stated that after Martin and the individual broke up, the singer wanted to resume their connection and went to the guy’s house on multiple times. This was after Martin and the individual had previously dated.

Ricky Martin, a Puerto Rican musician, was recently served with a restraining order, and he is now facing allegations that he had a romantic relationship with his nephew. According to the Associated Press, the article from El Vocero stated that it was stated that “the petitioner fears for his safety.”

Axel Valencia, a spokesperson for the Puerto Rican police, stated earlier this month to the Associated Press that officers were unable to locate Martin, but he also mentioned that the restraining order would prevent Martin from contacting the person who had filed it. This was said while Valencia was speaking with the AP.

Martin published a message on Twitter refuting the charges shortly after it became public that a restraining order had been granted against him.

Martin’s statement included the following quote from him: “The protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations, so I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and dignity that characterize me,” Martin said in the statement. “Because it is an ongoing legal matter, I cannot make detailed statements at this time. I am grateful for the countless messages of solidarity, and I receive them with all my heart.”

Representatives for Martin sent a statement to the Associated Press that read, “We are very confident that when the true facts come out in this matter our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated.”

According to El Vocero, Martin’s brother Eric divulged the information that the singer’s nephew was the one who submitted the petition for a restraining order against Martin.

“Something is telling me that I have to speak, because I am not afraid to speak, or anything. I am not afraid and I do not have to hide anything,” Martin’s brother said in a video while speaking about the restraining order, according to El Vocero.

According to El Universal, Puerto Rican law stipulates that a person could face a fixed prison sentence of fifty years if they are found guilty of having a sexual relationship with a member of their own family.
