Sharon Stone opens up about having 9 miscarriages amid the roe v wade debacle …

Supporters of reproductive rights say it’s great that Sharon Stone is speaking out about having nine miscarriages.

An actor once described a miscarriage as “no minor thing, physically nor emotionally,” adding that women who experience it are often treated as though they have “failed.”

Stone, 64, was commenting on a photo on Instagram that referenced an article in a People magazine interview in which Peta Murgatroyd, a dancer on the US TV show Dancing with the Stars, discussed her loss.

To paraphrase what the Basic Instinct actress wrote: “We, as females don’t have a forum to discuss the profundity of this loss. I lost nine children by miscarriage. It is no small thing, physically nor emotionally yet we are made to feel it is something to bear alone and secretly with some kind of sense of failure. Instead of receiving the much needed compassion and empathy and healing which we so need. Female health and wellness left to the care of the male ideology has become lax at best, ignorant in fact, and violently oppressive in effort.

It “takes courage,” Ruth Bender Atik, national director of the Miscarriage Association, said in response to her remarks, so it was encouraging to hear that she and other high-profile women had spoken openly about their experiences with miscarriage. She said, however, that sharing such stories might be a “gift” to others by helping them feel less isolated and encouraging them to open up about their own struggles.

“When someone famous talks about their experience, and hers was especially painful, it might be a gift and a consolation to someone who is going through something similar,” the author writes.

Everyone’s miscarriage story is unique, but “there’s always something similar,” she said.

“When someone else talks about it, it can seem like you’re not alone,” she continued. In many ways, it may be a very lonely experience.

While precise numbers are unavailable, it is believed that anywhere from 25% to 50% of pregnancies in the UK are lost to miscarriage.

Stone, Chrissy Teigen, and Carrie Johnson are just a few high-profile women who have spoken openly about their miscarriages, but the topic is still taboo for many.

According to Bender Atik, one of the root causes is the inappropriate upbeat reception that people who talk about their struggles sometimes receive. She claimed that when the Miscarriage Association asked women what they wanted to hear, “I’m sorry for your loss” was the one thing they all indicated they wanted to hear. It’s best to avoid saying “at least” in any phrase, she continued.

Stone, who was married to writer Phil Bronstein from 1998 to 2003, has discussed in the past how she experienced multiple miscarriages as a result of an autoimmune illness. Roan, now 22, Laird, 17, and Quinn, now 16, are her adopted sons.

ISTHATPORKS TAKE:

Much respect to Sharon Stone for sharing what obviously was a traumatic experience in her life. And much respect to anyone living through such an ordeal. We can't imagine what that must've been like but at least she is sharing in that experience. God knows someone somewhere must've felt comfort from her sharing her experience. Women who lose kids is a problem that's all too common in the United States and around the world and those that come forth to share in that experience can only do good. Self-expression is always better than bottling it up only to explode at a later date or turn that heartache into an unwanted personal disease. We salute Sharon the No Pork way and there's no better way to congratulate her than with the "FOOD YEARS UP!" and coming on the heels of Roe v Wade the timing couldn't have been better.

Kanye West apologizes for George Floyd comments, saying Adidas’s ordeal humbled him.

After claiming that George Floyd’s death was the result of fentanyl rather than police brutality in Minneapolis, Kanye West has apologized to Floyd’s family.

As reported by Consequence, West apologized for the remarks while mobbed by paparazzi on Friday (October 28).

West expressed his discomfort, saying, ““When I see that video as a Black person, it hurts my feelings, and I know that police do attack [sic] and that America is generally racist. And I understand that when we got to say Black Lives Matter, the idea of it made us feel good together as a people. Now, afterwards there was some things where the money went in order to push us to the Democratic vote.”

Finally, West admitted that he feels bad about creating conspiracy theories surrounding Floyd’s murder because adidas severed their commercial ties with him.

Accordingly, “So when I questioned the death of George Floyd, it hurt my people,” he continued. “I want to apologize. Because God has showed me by what adidas is doing, by what the media is doing, I know what it feels to have a knee on my neck right now.

“So thank you God for humbling me and letting me know how it really felt. Because how could the richest Black men ever be humbled other than to be made to not be a billionaire in front of everyone off a comment.”

They sued him for $250 million on behalf of his daughter, who is the sole heir to Floyd’s fortune, after he made some contentious comments.

The rapper also doubled down on his anti-Semitic language during Friday’s impromptu news conference, adding, “the amount of Jews killed in Nazi Germany paled in compared to the number of Black people killed by abortion.”

His recent anti-Semitic comments have apparently cost him his coveted billionaire status, and as a result, several companies have severed connections with West. Among them is Adidas.

After a week of criticism, West returned to social media and released a text message from his lawyer, Quinn Emanuel, in which he was informed of his legal options with respect to adidas and Gap, from whom he had parted ways in September.

As for Adidas, the message said, “You may now begin creating new designs for footwear, clothes, and accessories.” The end date of your non-compete with Gap is December15, 2022. The Yeezy brand and its associated trademarks are your own.

Forbes estimates that his fortune has dropped from $1.9 billion to $400 million.

Will Smith claims that Floyd Mayweather checked in with him daily for ten days after he smacked Chris Rock at the Oscars to see how he was doing.

During a private showing of his new film “Emancipation” at The London hotel, Smith revealed… , and he seized the opportunity to thank TBE for being there for him in the presence of Floyd, even if at the time they weren’t exactly great friends.

On camera, Smith remarked, “I want to say something also about Floyd.” The footage was later shared on TMZ Sports. “So, we’ve met each other, we’ve seen each other around, but we weren’t like, friends.”

“And, the day after the Oscars, for 10 days he called me every day, And, he was like, ‘Ay, you know you the champ, right? You good? You know you the champ, right? I want you to hear my voice say it,'”

“That was every day he called me … and it’s like, that’s my dude forever right there.”

In light of Smith’s reluctance to discuss the slapping event since his only public statement on the matter came in the form of an apologetic video in July, hearing him describe the days immediately following the incident is very rare.

Mayweather, for his part, thought the movie was great.

A pivotal moment in history is beautifully depicted in “Emancipation. Floyd says, “I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.”

“Watching Emancipation film last night — the picture was nothing short of wonderful! The film hit so many elements of me as a black guy in America… Will Smith is outstanding!! Every frame was Art!!!!!,” Deon exclaims.
